A Few Things I’m Loving Right Now

I’m not someone who buys a lot of things just for the sake of buying them. But when I find something that actually makes life easier, more comfortable, or just a little more enjoyable, I become very loyal to it.

So I thought it would be fun to share a few things I’ve been loving lately — the kind of things I use often, recommend to friends, or would absolutely buy again.

Here are a few favorites right now.

There’s something to be said for an outfit that you can throw on and instantly feel put together. Right now, my formula is simple and yes, maybe even slightly boring but it works for me:

• A comfortable pair of straight jeans (swapped with denim shorts on a hot day)
• A basic fitted tee or tank
• A neutral sneaker or sandal

Here are a few pieces similar to what I wear on repeat:

It’s the kind of outfit that works for school drop-offs, running errands, or a quick Target trip. Can be as simple or as styled as you want it to be with the right accessories.

Make Up Staples

I will die on this hill – Tartlette Tubing Mascara is the BEST mascara ever. I don’t love buying it full price, but anytime there is a sale or discount code, I’m stocking up. This mascara doesn’t smear or end up on your eyelids. I have been using it for probably three years. The other day, I got a little mini trial bag of products from Ulta. There was a Lancome mascara, so I thought “why not, I’ll try it.” It was all over the top and bottom of my eyes by 2pm. Maybe sooner, that’s just when I noticed. I’m not sure what was worse, having the mascara all over my lids or the fact that no one in my office gave me a heads up. I probably walked around like that for hours. Never again.

Tarte also has the best concealer. Shape Tape is my favorite. The coverage is ideal. A little goes a long way, which makes this tube last forever!

Laura Mercer setting powder is a newer product to me. A friend turned me on to it a couple weeks ago and so far I am loving it. I have super oily skin. I hate it! This provides a nice matte finish. So far, so good!

Dibs Duo Stick, another product I’ve been using for a couple of years. It’s the perfect combo. There are several color options, and you really can’t go wrong with anyone that you choose.

My Nightly Kitchen Reset Essentials

If you’ve read my other posts, you already know I love going to bed with a clean kitchen.

These are a few things that make that nightly reset easier:

  • My favorite all-purpose cleaner (my favorite scent changes from time to time)
  • A good set of dishcloths
  • Drawer organizers that keep things from becoming chaos

Nothing fancy — just things that make the routine faster.

That is what I have been into lately. Drop your current favorites in the comments — I am always looking for something new to try and I trust a real recommendation over an algorithm every time. 🤍
